Zootopia 2 is Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' 2025 theatrical sequel, and you can now watch it streaming exclusively on Disney+, or through digital rental and purchase. There is no legal free on-demand streaming option because Disney+ has no general free trial in 2026. It premiered at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre on Nov.
13, 2025 and opened in U.S. theaters on Nov. 26, 2025. That theatrical run was followed by digital, disc, and then subscription-streaming releases in early 2026.

Stream it on Disney+
Zootopia 2 began streaming exclusively on Disney+ on March 11, 2026 for all subscribers, about 105 days after its theatrical opening, according to The Wrap and Disney's announcement in Disney's March launch announcement. Exclusively means it is not included with Netflix, Hulu, Max, or another subscription.
Access requires a paid Disney+ plan. Parade reported the plans at about $11.99 per month with ads and $18.99 per month for Premium. Check current Disney+ pricing before you sign up, since bundle and annual options can change the total.
Rent or buy it digitally
Disney released Zootopia 2 for digital purchase and rental on Jan. 27, 2026 through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, according to USA Today in its digital release report.
That arrival came about two months after theaters. Rental is usually the cheapest one-time viewing choice. Purchase costs more but keeps the film in your library for repeat viewing and avoids a monthly subscription.
Buy the disc or borrow it
The physical release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD followed on March 3, 2026, according to ComingSoon.net in its release-dates report. The disc includes extras such as behind-the-scenes features, deleted scenes, and a Shakira music video.
For collectors and families who rewatch often, the disc can beat repeated rental fees. If you rarely rewatch, ask your local library whether it carries the March 3 disc before buying.
Is there a legal free way to watch?
There is no legal free on-demand route. TechRadar reports that Disney+ offers no general free trial in 2026, with third-party free-trial claims either outdated or tied to limited carrier bundles, as explained in its Disney+ free-trial guide.
That leaves three low-cost legal paths: pay for a single digital rental, pay for one month of Disney+, or borrow the disc from a library. For most one-time viewers, compare the rental price against one month of Disney+ with ads and pick the lower amount.
