Who gathers on the island?

Miles Bron is a wealthy tech founder who built Alpha around a hydrogen fuel called Klear. He hosts friends in a large glass dome on his private Greek island. He invites five old allies plus Blanc and Helen posing as Andi.

Each guest owes him support for past favors. Blanc received a puzzle-box invitation and came to observe. Helen asked him for help after her twin Andi died days before the trip.

  • Claire, a governor running for office.
  • Lionel, a scientist who vouches for Klear.
  • Birdie, a designer joined by aide Peg.
  • Duke, a streamer joined by Whiskey.

What turns the game into murder?

Miles plans a weekend game where guests solve his staged murder. The game collapses when Duke dies suddenly after sipping from Miles's glass. The group cannot leave quickly and fear spreads.

Miles then shoots Helen in the chest during an argument, and she falls. The story then rewinds to explain the switch. Real Andi died before the trip, so Helen posed as Andi to work with Blanc.

How does Blanc find the killer?

Blanc shows Miles poured a drink meant for Helen. Duke grabbed that glass first and died because he was severely allergic to pineapple. The motive centers on a napkin sketch showing Andi founded Alpha.

Andi opposed Klear as unsafe and planned to share the napkin with the group. Blanc links Miles to Andi's death after she threatened exposure. Miles then tried to kill Helen on the island to finish the cover-up.

Why does Helen start the fire?

Miles grabs the napkin envelope and burns it before witnesses. Blanc says no court will convict Miles without that physical proof. Helen answers by smashing Klear controls and shattering the dome.

The fuel ignites and the fire spreads through Miles's house and collection. Lionel, Claire and Birdie see the danger and turn against Miles. The blaze also destroys the famed Mona Lisa he borrowed to display power.
