Which action series should you start with?

Reacher remains the anchor. According to Paramount Press Express/Amazon MGM Studios, Season 4 drew 66 million global viewers in 28 days, and the franchise has passed 200 million viewers worldwide since 2022, with a Season 6 renewal announced Sept. 28, 2026 in the studio renewal notice. Neagley extends that story around Frances Neagley. Paramount Press Express/Amazon MGM Studios reports Season 1 reached 40 million global viewers in 13 days, ranking as Prime Video's No.

4 original series debut, followed by a Season 2 renewal on Oct. 1, 2026. Maria Sten stars in the lead role. Watch Reacher first if you want the central case-of-the-season format. Move to Neagley next if you want the same unit told from the investigator's side.

What premieres in October?

Carrie arrives first. Amazon reports that Mike Flanagan's Carrie, a TV-first adaptation of Stephen King's debut novel starring Summer H. Howell and Samantha Sloyan, premieres Oct. 7 with all eight episodes for U.S. Prime members in the October lineup.

The Terminal List Season 2 follows on Oct. 21. All eight episodes star Chris Pratt as Navy SEAL James Reece and adapt Jack Carr's novel True Believer. Amazon lists the season as exclusive to Prime Video in more than 240 countries. Both are full-season drops, so you can pace episodes or binge. Check the Prime Video app on the release date for episode access.

Want something other than straight action?

Spider-Noir offers a period detective alternative. According to Amazon MGM Studios, the series stars Nicolas Cage in his first leading TV role as 1930s private investigator Ben Reilly. It premiered worldwide May 27, 2026 in both black-and-white and color versions. The Boys gives you a finished binge.

TechRadar, reporting Amazon's CCXP announcement, dates final Season 5 from April 8, 2026 with two episodes to May 20, 2026. The complete five-season superhero satire is now available. Pick Spider-Noir for a contained mystery with a film-noir look. Pick The Boys if you prefer a complete story with a clear ending.

What do you need to watch in the U.S.?

U.S. streaming requires a Prime or standalone Prime Video plan and includes ads by default.

Amazon Staff reports that ad-free viewing requires Prime Video Ultra at $4.99 per month extra, launched April 10, 2026, and that titles and dates vary by region in the Ultra subscription notice. Regional catalogs differ, so confirm Carrie and The Terminal List dates in your local app.

  • Confirm a current Prime or Prime Video plan before October premieres.
  • Decide if you want the ad-supported plan or Ultra ad-free.
  • Open the Prime Video app in your own region to confirm title and date.
