What Is the Premise?
Season 1 follows law graduate Guy Anatole, a mind-reader. Senior operative Helen recruits him for the London station. His assignment is to investigate Jasper, a vampire infiltrating the order. The setup plays as psychic-detective work inside a global institution.
Guy learns tradecraft while hiding his own ability. Jasper tests every rule around him. The London focus keeps the story tight. Field work, surveillance and interrogation drive the plot. Supernatural threats stay close to the team.

How Was It Received and Will It Continue?
Reviews were mixed-to-positive. The season holds about 64% critics approval on Rotten Tomatoes from 22 reviews. It scores 63 out of 100 on Metacritic from 15 critics, described as generally favorable but weaker than Interview with the Vampire. AMC canceled the series after one season on March 27, 2026. The network said it was proud of the series but would not proceed.
It expects Talamasca characters to appear in future Immortal Universe stories. New viewers should treat Season 1 as a closed arc. Cancellation means no planned continuation exists. Its small linear ratings and 67% audience score make a Netflix-driven reversal unlikely. Watch it for the six-episode London case, not for a cliffhanger payoff.
