Where to Watch Fall 2: Deadpoint: Movie Release and Streaming Updates

Fall 2: Deadpoint, the survival-thriller sequel, is playing only in U.S. theaters after its September 2, 2026 nationwide release.

It is not yet on subscription streaming, with home rental expected October 6, 2026. The Playlist reports the theatrical launch as a nationwide Lionsgate release running about 1 hour 38 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes in its trailer report. That makes theaters the only current option, while rental and streaming follow later.

Is it still only in theaters?

Lionsgate opened the film as a theater-only release in the United States. No simultaneous subscription or purchase option was part of that rollout.

The theatrical window fits a standard sequel pattern. Viewers who want to see it now need a local theater listing.

What is Fall 2: Deadpoint about?

The story follows grieving Jax Hunter and Luce, a friend of Jax's late sister, on a plank walk up Mount Kwan in Thailand. A rockslide leaves them stranded 3,000 feet up, according to the Screen Rant and Empire synopsis. Harriet Slater plays Jax and Arsema Thomas plays Luce, with Tom Brittney as their guide.

Bloody Disgusting's casting report lists Michael and Peter Spierig as directors, working from a Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank script. The MPA rated the film PG-13 for strong language, violent content with bloody images, and drug material. Bloody Disgusting reported that rating in July 2026. Parents should expect intense height sequences and injuries.

When can you rent it at home?

MovieVine lists October 6, 2026 for digital and video-on-demand rental, including expected Prime Video rental, in its digital listing. That option suits cord-cutters who prefer to skip theaters.

That date remains provisional because Lionsgate had not formally confirmed it. Dates can shift during the theater-to-home transition.

  • Check Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu around October 6 for rental listings
  • Compare rental and purchase prices before buying, if both appear
  • Confirm runtime and PG-13 rating on the store page before paying

When will it reach subscription streaming?

JustWatch showed the film as unavailable for subscription streaming in late September 2026 and offered alerts in its streaming tracker. Viewers could not then stream it free with a subscription. The first pay-1 streaming home is expected to be STARZ, followed by a later Prime Video move around summer 2027.

When To Stream and EntertainmentNow described that window in September 2026, with When To Stream noting the dates could change in its streaming-window report. Set a JustWatch alert and check STARZ first if you hold a subscription there. Do not expect it on Netflix, Hulu, Max, or Prime Video's included catalog yet.
