U.S. viewers can watch The Father (2020), Florian Zeller's drama starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, on the Sony Pictures Core Amazon Channel. You can also rent or buy it from major digital stores, but U.S.
trackers list no legal free stream. Sony Pictures Classics identifies the film as the winner of 2 Academy Awards for Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay. Pressplay describes it as a 2020 drama/mystery running 1h 37m. That short runtime makes a one-time rental practical for most viewers.

Is It on Subscription Streaming?
JustWatch's U.S. listing reports subscription streaming through the Sony Pictures Core Amazon Channel JustWatch U.S. listing.
That affects viewers who need that specific channel rather than standard Prime Video. Check your Prime Video Channels menu before you pay. Your library may already include the channel through a bundle. If not, compare one month of the channel against a single rental.
- Confirm you are signed in to Prime Video in the U.S.
- Search Channels for Sony Pictures Core.
- Confirm price and trial status before adding.
Where Can You Rent It?
JustWatch's U.S. tracker lists rental on Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, Fandango at Home and Spectrum On Demand. Pressplay's U.S. page lists rents from $3.59 on Amazon, $3.79 on YouTube and $3.99 on Vudu, Apple TV and Spectrum Pressplay U.S.
page. Pick the store tied to your device for easiest playback. Apple TV Store fits Apple hardware, while Amazon Video fits Fire TV. Compare the current checkout price before you confirm.
Where Can You Buy It or Keep It on Disc?
JustWatch lists download purchase on Apple TV Store, Fandango at Home and Amazon Video. Rotten Tomatoes' Where to Watch section corroborates Fandango at Home, Prime Video and Apple TV for rent or buy Rotten Tomatoes Where to Watch section.
JustWatch and Pressplay also list DVD and Blu-ray from Amazon DVD/Blu-ray and Barnes and Noble. A disc suits viewers who want offline playback or a permanent shelf copy. Check format, region and shipping before you order.
Can You Watch It Free Legally?
No legal free-with-ads or free subscription stream in the U.S. is documented. The U.S.
trackers list only channel-subscription, rental, purchase and DVD/Blu-ray. That limit affects free-seeking viewers most. Treat other free offers with care and verify rights before you stream. Library borrowing or a temporary channel trial may lower cost when available.
Do Options Change Outside the U.S.?
Availability varies by country, so U.S. viewers cannot use foreign listings. JustWatch shows Lionsgate+ Amazon Channel in the U.K., Crave Amazon Channel in Canada, and SBS On Demand free with ads in Australia. Travelers must recheck locally.
Recheck JustWatch set to your current country before you pay. Use the local channel name at checkout. Do not assume a U.S. rental travels with you.
