What defines Ryu in this reboot?
PEOPLE lists Andrew Koji as Ryu in its PEOPLE cast guide. He plays the disciplined Japanese fighter at the center of the story.
Ryu enters as one half of the co-lead pair opposite Ken. His discipline contrasts with Ken's looser path and gives their reunion its tension.
How does Ken fit beside Ryu?
CBR identifies Noah Centineo as Ken Masters in its CBR casting report. Ken is Ryu's estranged friend and rival.
The story is set in 1993, when the two former friends have drifted apart. Their shared history makes the forced rematch personal rather than only competitive.
What does Chun-Li set in motion?
Pathé Switzerland lists Callina Liang as Chun-Li on its Pathé film page. She plays the mysterious recruiter who pulls Ryu and Ken into combat.
According to the Dendy Cinemas synopsis, Chun-Li draws both men into the World Warrior Tournament. A wider conspiracy then forces them to face each other to survive it.
Who fills out the tournament?
The wider ensemble adds familiar fighters and villains, as reported by Push Square. The casting spreads star power across heroes, rivals, and the criminal organization behind the tournament.
Bison gives the conspiracy a clear center. Balrog, Akuma, Guile, and Blanka widen the field around the three leads.
- Jason Momoa as Blanka
- Roman Reigns as Akuma
- Cody Rhodes as Guile
- 50 Cent as Balrog
- David Dastmalchian as M. Bison
