Which mainstream series are free?
YouTube's Official Blog reports in its full-season streaming announcement that YouTube offers nearly 4,000 full TV episodes free with ads. The lineup includes Hell's Kitchen, Andromeda and Heartland.
The same offer adds over 1,500 movies from Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, Lionsgate and FilmRise. TechCrunch described playback through web browsers, mobile devices and most connected TVs via the YouTube app. That puts YouTube alongside Tubi, Pluto TV, Roku Channel and Peacock free tiers.
Why watch Babylon 5 now?
Inverse reports in its August 2026 sci-fi streaming report that the official Babylon 5 channel began airing full episodes free in August 2026. Babylon 5 is a 1990s space-opera series, a long serialized story set in space. Creator J. Michael Straczynski announced the move after years of scarce streaming availability.
Inverse listed the opening lineup as small, with more episodes promised later. It included Season 1 Episode 1 Midnight on the Firing Line and Season 2 Episode 2 Soul Hunter. It also included the 1993 pilot movie The Gathering. Official channel listings show growth beyond that handful. The channel now lists Season 2 Episode 11 All Alone in the Night in full.
What does Classic Doctor Who offer?
Cancelled Sci Fi reports in its Classic Doctor Who streaming guide that a channel streams episodes from the first seven Doctors free with ads. It includes animated reconstructions of previously lost episodes.
BBC Studios describes its Doctor Who: Classic channel as home to full episodes dating to the First Doctor. The run features first meetings with Daleks and Cybermen. Companions include Sarah Jane Smith and Ace.
How do you find only the free episodes?
Digital Trends notes in its free YouTube shows explainer that free shows are U.S.-only and ad-supported. Availability rotates and titles can be pulled anytime. Use the Movies and Shows hub to avoid rentals.
