Will Spider Betray the Sully Family?
In the Avatar movies, Spider is the human kid raised by the Sully family like one of their own. His real dad is Colonel Quaritch, the big bad guy from the first film who came back as a Na’vi in the second one. Fans wonder if Spider will ever turn against the Sullys because of this family tie. But from what we know about the latest movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash, it looks like Spider stays loyal no matter what.
Spider, whose full name is Miles Socorro, grew up on Pandora after his human parents died. The Sullys took him in, and he became super close to Jake, Neytiri, and their kids like Lo’ak, Kiri, and Tuk. He is the only full human in their group, which makes him feel like he does not fully fit in with the tall blue Na’vi. Still, the Sullys treat him as family. Spider accepts it at first but then doubles down on his loyalty to the Sullys. He joins the Na’vi neural network and gets accepted as one of them.
