Steve Levine — Founder & Editor
Find This Movie is run by one person: me, Steve Levine. I’m a lifelong movie fan rather than a professional film critic or studio insider, and I started this site after getting stuck one too many times trying to name a film I could only remember in fragments — a single scene, a line of dialogue, the mood it left behind.
I write most of the content here, covering movie-identification strategies, streaming, film technology, and comparisons across genres. I also built the AI Scene Finder, which turns the same describe-it-and-dig approach I’d been using by hand into a tool anyone can use. You can connect with me on LinkedIn.
What I write about: movie identification, film databases and search techniques, streaming, film technology, and classic and contemporary cinema across genres.

What We Do
Find This Movie helps people identify films they can’t remember. We do this through:
- AI Scene Finder: Our AI-powered tool identifies movies from scene descriptions in seconds.
- Search Guides: Step-by-step guides for finding forgotten movies using databases, communities, and search techniques.
- Film Articles: In-depth writing about movies, streaming, and film technology to help readers discover new films and understand the ones they love.
- Personal Help: Email me a movie description and I’ll personally help track it down.
Our Standards
Every article on Find This Movie is checked against official sources including IMDb, TMDb, studio press releases, and industry databases. We verify release dates, cast information, and technical details before publishing. When we get something wrong, we fix it — see our Editorial Policy for our corrections process.
We are independent and self-funded. Our recommendations are based on merit, not sponsorship. Read our Advertising Disclosure for full transparency on how this site is supported.
