Is Quaritch Being Saved for Avatar 4?
Fans of the Avatar series have one big question after watching Avatar: Fire and Ash. Will Colonel Quaritch, played by Stephen Lang, come back in Avatar 4? The movie shows Quaritch in a big battle where he seems to sacrifice himself to save Spider. He falls to what looks like his death. But Quaritch has died before and returned as a recombinant, a mix of human and Na’vi body. So many think this sets him up for more story. Avatar 4 is set for release on December 21, 2029. Disney confirmed it as part of James Cameron’s four-movie plan. Stephen Lang loves playing Quaritch. In a recent interview, he said the role is rewarding and he’s ready if Cameron wants him back. Lang called Pandora immersive and fun to explore. Will he stay allied with them or keep chasing Jake Sully? Sources hint yes to at least one path. The story could dive into Wind Traders or Kiri’s discoveries too. Quaritch’s arc feels open, not closed.
Lang told interviewers he’s up for another stage in Quaritch’s journey. Cameron has not ruled it out. With filming underway and Lang eager, it looks like Quaritch is being saved for Avatar 4.
