The CGI pipeline for Avatar movies turns actors’ real performances into stunning digital worlds. It starts with capturing every move and expression, then builds layers of animation, textures, and lights to make Na’vi characters and Pandora look real.[1][2]

Side-by-side shots show how raw actor footage turns into final epic scenes.[1][2] Weta pushed limits to create whole new ecosystems, from fire dances to spiral weapons inspired by real designs.[1]

Virtual cameras help too. Directors see the scene in real-time during capture, before real lights or sets exist. This keeps everything immersive and precise for the big screen.[1]
