Django Unchained Ending Explained
Django Unchained tells the story of a slave named Django who teams up with a German bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz, to win his freedom and rescue his wife, Broomhilda. They head to the brutal plantation called Candyland, owned by the charming but cruel Calvin Candie. Posing as buyers of fighters, Schultz and Django try to buy Broomhilda without raising suspicion. Things go wrong when Stephen, Candie’s sharp-eyed house slave played by Samuel L. Jackson, uncovers their real plan and tells Candie. Candie demands way more money than they can pay. In the tense deal signing, Schultz snaps and shoots Candie dead. Chaos erupts. Django does not give up. Two helpful Aussies working for Candie free him from the torture, thinking he will just run away. Instead, Django tricks them. He gets one to cut his bonds, then kills both and takes their dynamite. He rides back to Candyland alone, ready for revenge. Using smarts and the dynamite, Django blows up the main house and fights his way through Candie’s armed men in a wild shootout. He saves Broomhilda from the burning building and finally kills Stephen, the one who betrayed them. This ending shows Django as a free man who destroys the evil world that held him. He rides off with Broomhilda on a horse, heading west to start fresh.
